Advocacy & Sovereign Leadership
My advocacy and sovereign leadership are rooted in a deep commitment to uplifting Indigenous voices, protecting community pathways to self-determination, and building relationships that honor tribal sovereignty. Through federal appointments, international cultural partnerships, and community-driven initiatives, I work to advance Indigenous presence, influence policy, and foster global understanding. This work is a continuation of our enduring sovereignty, carried forward in every space I enter.
Task Force Leadership: Addressing Violence Against Indigenous Women
I am honored to serve as an appointed member of the U.S. Department of Justice Task Force on Research on Violence Against American Indian and Alaska Native Women. Through this national role, I contribute to efforts that address systemic violence, elevate the experiences of Indigenous women, and advance data-informed policy solutions rooted in Indigenous sovereignty and guided by community voices. This work reflects a deep commitment to protecting Indigenous women, strengthening tribal self-determination, and ensuring that national responses are shaped by those most impacted.

Sovereign Cultural Ambassadorship
I also serve as a sovereign cultural ambassador in collaboration with international consulates and cultural institutions. Through these partnerships, I advocate for Indigenous visibility, foster global relationships, and share Potawatomi history, cultural knowledge, and contemporary Indigenous realities on international platforms. This work builds pathways for cross-cultural understanding and honors the enduring presence of Indigenous peoples around the world.
Policy and Justice Advocacy
Across my work, I walk alongside Indigenous communities to champion pathways to self-determination, tribal sovereignty, and policies that are grounded in Indigenous knowledge systems. As Policy Director at Waking Women Healing Institute (WWHI), I am honored to support a survivor-led, Indigenous organization dedicated to protecting Indigenous women, restoring community-led governance, and addressing the ongoing crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP). WWHI leads with love, relational accountability, and community power, and I am proud to contribute to this work that uplifts the voices, leadership, and solutions of Indigenous women, families, and communities.
